In short: new and rechecked statements of a specific legal or tax rule, and of other companies' prices, name their source and when we checked it, the calculators' worked examples are tested, and claims about RunwayDue are checked against the product when they are written. Who is responsible for a page
Each guide on the blog has a byline linking to the author page, about the advisor responsible for it. The advisor named on a guide's byline reads and approves it before it is published. Pages without a byline, such as comparisons, calculators and product pages, are published under the RunwayDue name. About RunwayDue says who runs the product.
Where facts come from
Guides are drafted with the help of AI tools. When we add or recheck a specific rule of law, a tax rule or another company's price, we name its source, link it where it is online and give the date we checked it, in the form "checked on 28 October 2026", as the table of rates set by law on the late fee calculator does. We prefer primary sources: the statute or regulation, a court's own self-help page, irs.gov, the FTC or a state government site. Another company's prices and features come from its own pages, and any other source is named. Some older pages make such a statement without naming, linking or dating its source, and gain those when next rechecked.
We do not add a rate, threshold or statistic we cannot show a source for, and we take out any we find. Each statement stays within what its source says, and where a rule differs by state, the page says so. Guides are for US businesses unless they say otherwise; the few about India say so at the top.
Figures the calculators work out
Each worked example on the calculators is checked by an automated test against an answer worked out by hand, separately from the code, so a change that broke the arithmetic would fail it.
Claims about RunwayDue
Claims about what RunwayDue does and what it costs are checked against the product when they are written, and a page describing a paid feature should name its plan. Some pages have fallen behind the product or do not name the plan yet: tell us if you find one, and see pricing for what each plan includes. Where it matters, a page also says what RunwayDue does not do, as the guide to what is required on an invoice in the US does for sales tax.
Comparison pages
RunwayDue writes its comparison pages and sells one of the two products on each, so read them with that in mind. Each opens with what the other product does better and gives the date its prices were checked. The site carries no ads and no affiliate links. No company pays to appear on, or to be left off, any page here.
Updates and corrections
Pages are not rechecked on a fixed schedule; a checked-on date shows how current a statement is.
If a page is wrong or out of date, email support@runwaydue.com with the page address and what you found. A person reads it and answers it. If the page is wrong, we correct it; a corrected statement of a specific legal or tax rule, or of another company's price, carries the date we rechecked its source.
Legal review
When a lawyer reviews a page, that page will carry a line reading "Legal review:", followed by the lawyer's name and where they are admitted to practice.
Not legal or tax advice
Nothing on this site is legal, tax or accounting advice, and RunwayDue is not a law firm or an accounting firm. Where a guide gives a judgment, such as which payment term to choose, it is our view, not a rule. For your own contract, invoice or tax position, ask a lawyer or an accountant who practices where you do.
