Tax that knows where you bill from
Your state against your client's decides whether it is CGST and SGST or IGST, and the editor tells you which and why in plain English rather than making you pick from a dropdown you have to be an accountant to understand.
- GSTINs are checksum-validated, so a typo is caught at entry rather than at filing
- Typing a client's GSTIN fills in their state, because that field is what decides the tax
- Clients outside India are treated as an export of service, so no GST is added
In the United States
One sales-tax rate a line, which you set. The document is titled Invoice rather than Tax Invoice — "tax invoice" is a GST term with a statutory meaning it does not have in the US. There is no place of supply and no split, and sales tax you pay on a purchase stays part of the cost rather than becoming a credit, because it is not recoverable there. We do not look the rate up by address and we do not check where you have nexus.
Anywhere else
You set the rate per line and we apply no tax rules, because we have not written them. No VAT validation, no reverse charge, no OSS, no local filing formats. That is a real limitation, and the app says so on your settings page rather than implying otherwise.
- A tax invoice carries the per-slab summary and the amount in words, which is what the format requires
Chasing that firms up in stages
Overdue invoices follow themselves up on a schedule you set. The wording changes as time passes: a heads-up before it is due, a note on the day, then follow-ups that move from understanding to direct. Never threatening, and always asking for one specific thing — usually just a date.
- One reminder per invoice per run, so an overlapping job cannot double-send
- Weekends skipped, because a chaser landing on Sunday morning reads badly
- Stops the moment it is paid, voided or paused
- You can preview exactly what would go out before you switch it on
Any currency, one set of books
Bill in dollars, euros or rupees. Every report converts using the rate saved on that document when you issued it, so reporting does not drift when exchange rates move.
Nothing is deleted for going quiet
A quiet quarter does not cost you your history. That is the reason this product exists.
